Shakespeare Explained by Emily Luebke of Rebel Alliance Theatre:
Greetings to the family and friends of Rebel Alliance Theatre,
It has been nearly seventeen years – seventeen seasons – since Rebel Alliance Theatre first opened its doors. We at Rebel are blessed to have shared so many seasons of friendship, creativity, joy, hope, and love with our Rebel family since that first day, and we are profoundly grateful.
But, inevitably, seasons change, and we now find ourselves at a crossroads. Changes in the economy, in the culture, and in our own lives have brought us to a place from which we believe we can no longer travel on as we have. For these reasons, and others, we have made the difficult decision to suspend our planned schedule of performances after Ripper, which was performed in October of 2011.
It is possible that after the Rebels have had a chance to rest, rejuvenate, and re-assess Rebel Alliance Theatre will resume operations in some form. Periodic visits to this website will keep you updated about any future Rebel Alliance Theatre activities.
Our deepest thanks to all of you who have come to our shows and who have offered us monetary, material, emotional, and spiritual support over the years. The last sixteen seasons would not have been possible without you!
Love and blessing to all,
The actors and staff of Rebel Alliance Theatre.
